Welcome to the official website of Mark Coldren and Coldren Motorsports. 2009 has been a year of change for the 07 team. Mark started his own business, Water Treatment By Design, and following an opening day crash, the team sat out several months while Mark worked to grow the business. The 07 was back on track in late June, with Mark behind the wheel of a Mach-1 Chassis. The team plans to increase the amount of races in the last few months of the season, so stay tuned to the offical website of "The Ice Man" to keep updated on the latest news and results.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LEWISBERRY, PA- 2010 begins a new decade and brings a new beginning for Coldren Motorsports and driver/owner Mark Coldren. Once known for running 50-plus races a year, Mark raced one time in 2007 while fielding a car for Mark Smith, and has only run a handful of races in both 410 and 358 sprint cars in 2008 and 2009. But in 2010, this is all about to change.
The Coldren Motorsports team is ramping up its operation this winter and is planning another 40+ race assault in Central Pennsylvania. The teams’ schedule will consist of only races in the 410 division, following two years of splitting time between the 358 and 410 sprint cars. Williams Grove and Port Royal Speedways will be the focus in 2010 with other special events and traveling as a possibility. While tentative plans are to be in attendance for most races at both speedways, the team will not attempt to chase points as various personal commitments may prevent the 07 from being in competition at every race.
To be competitive in Central PA 410 sprint car racing you need two things; a car that makes the driver feel comfortable, and a stout motor to get you to the front. The team has both of these in place for 2010. Mark will be utilizing a Mach-1 Chassis for the second year. Mark felt very comfortable behind the wheel of the Mark Smith-built frame in 2009, and is looking forward to much success with the cars in 2010. There are no worries in the motor department either, with power being supplied by HP Engines. The team debuted a new HP power-plant towards the end of 2009 and timed 22nd fastest out of 60 of the best sprint car drivers in the country at the Williams Grove National Open. A second motor has been built for 2010.
A schedule consisting of this many races is not possible without proper funding from loyal sponsors. The success of Mark’s one year-old business, Water Treatment By Design, has helped to allow such a dramatic increase to the team’s schedule in 2010. WTBD will once again be the primary sponsor, with additional support coming from long-time sponsors Advantage Controls, AquaPhoenix Scientific, Vector Industries, HP Engines, Wings Unlimited, Mach-1 Chassis, and DMI.
The last piece of the puzzle to run competitively in this area is a crew to maintain the cars on a weekly basis and dial-in the setup on race night. While the main goal of the 2010 season is to have fun and be competitive, the team Mark has assembled is prepared to hold nothing back as they look to get the 07 to victory lane. Jordan Givler returns as crew chief, with longtime crew members Chad Reigle, Brian Arnold, and Mark Gruver all returning to the team. We would also like to welcome Brad Mohler to the 07 camp. Brad joins the team after three years with another 410 sprint team.
The paint-scheme for 2010 will be much different than the past two seasons. It will be similar to the 2007 car, and the team is very excited to debut the new design in the coming weeks.
